I am a family therapist, qualifying in 2017. I have clinical experience in both child and adolescent mental health and adult mental health. Prior to qualifying as a family therapist, I worked in organisations with a focus on helping, coaching and developing others. I have been a volunteer as a youth mentor and I have five children, ranging from primary school age to adult.
My wife and I lived in Italy for three years, we left England with three children and returned with five, so we have some experience of coping and living in a different culture from the one in which we were born.
My approach to therapy is one of openness and curiosity. I have worked in many different contexts, and I understand that each family, whilst perhaps living in similar situations, is really completely unique. This means that how each member of a family experiences the ebb and flow of life is very personal. These differences can unfortunately create cycles of difficulty and distress. I work you to help you share and value these experiences and use your strengths to support each other.
